Award-winning Blue Jeans takes home Neptune in Istanbul

We’re delighted to share news of a new major prize won by a project with which our design team has been heavily involved. The all-custom Blue Jeans came out tops in the ‘Semi-displacement or planing motoryacht 30 to 34.99m’ category at a glittering World Superyachts Awards ceremony held in Istanbul on Saturday 20 May. And that’s a fine recognition of the work of our teams who worked on both the exterior profile and the interior layout and style of this 34-metre superyacht.

A bespoke project like this requires close cooperation with the craftsmen at the yard, the naval architects Diana Yacht Design and of course the owners of Blue Jeans who were inspired by the lines of another successful Van der Valk that we designed, Jangada. From her foldout balconies to a ceiling height of 2.50 metres in the main saloon, Blue Jeans has turned out superbly.

And the superyacht owners who form the expert judging panel for the World Superyachts Awards certainly agreed, praising her: “striking appearance, comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots, spacious maintenance-friendly engine room, high-quality build and optimum layout. Blue Jeans is a very pleasant all-rounder that certainly met the owner’s challenge.”
