Pastel blue beauty Helga launched

Last week, the fifth 26-metre model in the Raised Pilothouse line of Van der Valk Shipyard, with exterior an interior design by Guido de Groot, has been unveiled to the world. Helga’s pastel blue hull is the most visible of a range of specific requests for the exterior, which also included enhancing the flybridge for outdoor activities and adding finishing details such as the transom gate doors and intricate stainless-steel work around the swim platform.

The interior also entirely reflects both the intended use of Helga and the client’s personal preferences. Created as a family superyacht for the owners and their adult children, layout highlights include a large and super-cosy main lounge for everyone to gather in the evenings. The dining area has been placed in the wheelhouse to free up space in the salon, connected by a staircase that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functionally smart.

All accommodations – one master and three guest suites on the lower deck, two crew cabins on the forward main deck – benefit from a contemporary design with classic friendly details. Our craftsmen really enjoyed their elaborate work with whitewashed oak and walnut. And the Van der Valk engineers had a great time creating Helga, too, with her12-cylinder MTU engines offering a comfortable top speed of 27 knots. The overall result is a fine example of our yard’s high-end capacity anno 2021.
