Vanadis receives four nominations in Boat International Design Awards

Guido de Groot is honoured to announce it has been nominated in the Boat International Design Awards. The upcoming awards will be held in February 2020 during the Superyacht Design Festival in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy and are a way for the superyacht world to honour the innovators and change makers in the industry.

Guido de Groot Design worked on the yacht Vanadis which has been nominated for the Best Motor Yacht Interior Design – below 500GT, Best Naval Architecture Displacement Motor Yacht, the Eco Award and Innovation of the Year Award. At 31.5 metres, and with an innovative hybrid propulsion system, Vanadis is a groundbreaking yacht built by Cerri Cantieri Navali with naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects.

Guido de Groot supplied an interior and exterior design that allowed no compromise on style while maintaining impeccable eco-credentials. The yacht’s relaxing interior design has been nominated as one of the finest of its launch year and we’re proud to see its exterior design recognised amongst its peers with its nomination for an award also.

The all-aluminium yacht is the fourth model in the shipyard’s Fuoriserie fully-custom line and accommodates six guests in a master cabin and two guest cabins.

Vanadis is an excellent yacht and we congratulate her builders and naval architects. This was a project we were proud to be involved in and we look forward to working on more innovative yacht builds in future as hybrid technology takes its place at the forefront of the industry.
