Project Berlin

Van der Valk Shipyard has started construction of a 30-metre custom aluminium yacht called “Project Berlin,” designed inside out by Guido de Groot Design. The vessel features a raised pilothouse configuration with contemporary styling that maximizes interior volume while remaining under the 24-metre regulatory threshold.

The design evolved from earlier studies exploring modern interpretations of the raised pilothouse concept. Key features include an adjustable swimming platform, aft garage, spacious saloon, the raised pilothouse area, and a large forward owners’ suite. The yacht represents an upgrade for owners transitioning from a production vessel to a custom build.
