Yacht Interiors, an introduction

If the project we are taking on has an interior design component, we will produce detailed general arrangement drawings. These are useful to plan the distribution of the various elements, such as living and working areas, to give a clearer picture of what can be physically achieved. On many occasions, we will be working alongside a naval architect. We will communicate with them and ensure that the layout can fit the naval architectural and other technical requirements. Once the general layout of a boat has been agreed to by all parties we then proceed to the next stage.

Based on the type of detailing for the interior we have together with our client decided on, we normally propose a number of themes to develop. We proceed to make specific drawings for each area. Sometimes we will begin by hand illustrations, but most often we may move to produce computer generated visuals right from the beginning.
